Analyze Any Website in One Click
The Serpstat Website SEO Checker browser extension brings Serpstat's core analysis data into your browser. Browse to any site, click the extension icon, and get an instant overview of SEO parameters, meta tags, technical errors, traffic, keyword visibility, and backlink metrics — without opening the Serpstat interface. Available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera.
What you can achieve:
Audit competitor pages on the fly: While browsing a competitor's site, check their SEO parameters, meta tags, keyword visibility, and backlink volume without switching tools.
Identify page-level keyword gaps instantly: The Page Analysis section shows keywords competitors rank for on the analyzed page that your site is missing — useful for quick gap spotting during research.
Get domain metrics while prospecting: Check traffic, visibility, and backlink data for any domain directly in the browser — useful during outreach, partnership evaluation, or competitor monitoring.
Getting Started
Install the extension for your browser: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Opera — search "Serpstat Website SEO Checker" in your browser's extension store.
Open your Serpstat account, go to Profile → API token, generate and copy your token.
Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar → paste the API token into the corresponding field.
Browse to any site and click the extension icon to open the analysis panel.
What the Extension Shows
SEO Parameters: Domain authority score, meta tags quality, media image count and size, external link volume, microdata quality, site loading speed, and technical errors — all at a glance from the SEO Parameters tab.
Page Analysis: Keywords the current page ranks for, competing pages in SERP for those keywords, and keywords competitors rank for that this page is missing. Switch to expanded reports to drill deeper in Serpstat.
Domain Analysis: Traffic, visibility, and keyword count for the domain — including new, lost, up, and down keyword dynamics. Also shows domain indexing across Google, Bing, Baidu, and Alexa, plus a one-year visibility graph and backlink summary.
Pro Tip: Use Page Analysis During Content Research
The extension's Page Analysis view is one of the fastest ways to find keyword gaps while browsing competitors' articles.
Open a top-ranking competitor article on the topic you're researching.
Click the extension icon → go to Page Analysis. The "Missing keywords" section shows queries competitors rank for on this page that your site doesn't cover.
Note the high-volume, low-competition missing keywords — these are direct opportunities to cover in your own article or to add to an existing page.
The goal: A 30-second keyword gap check on any competitor page, without leaving your browser or switching to the full Serpstat interface.
⚠️ Important: The extension requires an active Serpstat account and API token to pull data. API credits are consumed with each analysis request. If data does not load, verify your API token is entered correctly and that your account has available API credits. |
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which browsers are supported?
A: The extension is available for Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Opera. Install it from your browser's official extension store.
Q: Does the extension require a paid Serpstat plan?
A: The extension itself is free to install. However, it uses Serpstat's API to pull data, so you need an active Serpstat account with API credits. API access is available from the Team plan.
Q: Why is some data not showing in the extension?
A: Data availability depends on whether Serpstat has indexed that domain or page. New or low-traffic domains may have limited data. Also check that your API token is valid and your account has remaining API credits.
